2024: This summer two very talented Radiation Therapy students, Mandy Yip and Michael Zhang, will join our lab as summer students. Michael is supported by an Alberta Innovates, Mandy by a CRINA fellowship.

March 2022: Congratulations to Braden, who defended his PhD thesis! Dr. Chow was supervised by our collaborator Dr. Geetha Menon (check out this recently published collaborative research on how to improve brachytherapy for cervical cancer patients). He is now heading out for his residency at the University of Toronto.


June 2021: Amir defended his PhD thesis. Congratulations! Luckily for us, he will stay at the Cross Cancer Institute as researcher and biosafety officer!

His groundbreaking research into novel treatment plans for metastatic triple negative breast cancer received a lot of attention.

Summer student Merrill Singleton presents his research at University of Alberta’s 48th annual Summer Students’ Research Day. Merrill is a student in the newly established Radiation Therapy Program in the Department of Oncology. One day he will cure cancer patients with a technique similar to the one he used to treat mice in his research. (left: small animal radiation research platform)
